synopsis:
In 2014 the Bewaerschole (an art institute in Schouwen-Duiveland) started the project Balancing between fresh and salt water, inviting fifteen artists—with very different perspectives and using different approaches– to visualize how people and nature on this island are balancing between fresh and salt water.
Because of its subject matter, the artists have collaborated with inhabitants and visitors, with consumers and custodians of the landscape, as well as with scientists and specialists.
